A Message to All Offshore Oil & Gas Industry Colleagues:
According to the China Offshore Energy Development Report 2024, global investment in offshore oil and gas exploration and development has achieved steady growth for four consecutive years, reaching US$209.6 billion in 2024 with a compound annual growth rate of 11%. It is expected to surpass the US$220 billion mark in 2025. China's offshore oil and gas industry continues to set new records, with oil production exceeding 65.5 million tons in 2024 and projected to rise to 68 million tons in 2025. Major breakthroughs have been made successively in the deepwater areas of the South China Sea — the Huizhou 19-6 Oilfield has proven geological reserves exceeding 100 million tons of oil equivalent; the Lingshui 36-1 Gas Field, as the world's first "ultra-deepwater + ultra-shallow" gas field, has successfully explored a new geological system; significant discoveries such as the Kaiping South Oilfield and the Bozhong 26-6, the world's largest metamorphic buried hill oilfield, mark that China's deepwater oil and gas exploration and development capabilities have entered a new stage.
At this time of industrial transformation, the concept of "New Quality Productivity" has injected new momentum into offshore energy development, with continuous increases in national policy support and funding. As the core carrier of offshore energy development, the strategic position of the offshore engineering industry is becoming increasingly prominent. Against this backdrop, building an open and collaborative industrial ecosystem and establishing a platform for the integration of wisdom and innovation have become urgent needs for industry development.
To deeply explore core industry topics — including deepwater and ultra-deepwater oil and gas exploration and development, Subsea Production System Localization 2.0, FPSO/FLNG/FSRU floating production equipment upgrades, the intelligent revolution in drilling and completion, innovative applications of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technology, artificial intelligence and digital transformation practices, supply chain resilience system construction, and deepening international production capacity cooperation — the 28th Offshore China (Shenzhen) Convention and Exhibition 2026 will be held grandly on June 10-11, 2026 in Shenzhen. Centered on the theme "Focusing on Independent R&D and Introduced Innovation, Building New Quality Offshore Oil & Gas Productivity, and Forging a Win-Win Integrated Offshore Industry Ecosystem," this event will bring together over 500 upstream exploration and development decision makers from around the world. Focusing on key regions including the South China Sea, Southeast Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and Brazil, participants will discuss the future of collaborative development in the offshore oil and gas industry, deepen global supply chain exchanges, and jointly forge a new landscape of a secure, stable, and sustainable global offshore engineering supply chain.
The organizing committee sincerely invites you to attend and join industry leaders from around the globe:
▶ Gain Insights into the Latest Progress of Deepwater Projects in the South China Sea and Asia-Pacific
▶ Analyze Key Technological Breakthroughs in Subsea Production Systems, FPSO, and Drilling & Completion
▶ Connect with New Opportunities for Chinese Supply Chain Going Global and Global Procurement
▶ Explore Practical Pathways for Green, Low-Carbon, and Intelligent Transformation
Let us gather on the shores of the South China Sea, spark innovative inspiration through the collision of ideas, forge cooperation opportunities in pragmatic exchanges, and jointly propel the offshore oil and gas industry towards greener, smarter, and more international development.
